Faridabad/ Alive News: On the eve of the World Blood Donor Day, a blood donation camp was organized by Municipal Corporation Employees Federation, Faridabad in its premises with cooperation of Foundation against Thalassemia here today. A total of 87 blood donors voluntary blood donated and apart from this, more than 80 Thalassemia affected children were distributed drugs free of cost. The Employees Federation also donated Rs 11 thousand to Ravindra Tuteja, General Secretary of Thalassemia foundation for the children’s drugs.
A drawing competition was also organized in which the children participated with great pomp. The corporation Joint Commissioner Ashutosh Rajan and Sandeep Aggarwal while speaking on the occasion said organizing of blood donation camp is a noble cause. In this busy life people do not have sympathy towards the ill people, we cannot avoid them and is our duty to be a part of their sufferings. The councillor Vikas Bhardwaj, the federation General Secretary Mahender Chautala and his son Sahil Chautala also blood donated.
